The building was originally used as an ice and cold storage factory in the early 1900s, providing the Atlantic and Seaboard Railroads ice to cool their railcars. Today, locals and visitors alike gather over a crisp pint of beer, brewed from water pulled from the very same well that made the ice all those years ago.
 
If you're in the mood to order a flight of seasonal ales or stick with a classic lager, this Gainesville brewery treats every guest with brews guaranteed to delight your palate. They host live music and have a range of activities, including pool and board games.

Step into the rustic circus vibe, unique to Big Top Brewing Company. Bringing artfully crafted beers to Gainesville, Big Top pays homage to historical associations with The Ringling Circus.
 
Serving plenty of savory beers, including a raspberry Berliner, you can grab a pint and enjoy the open windows and large tables. There are also large TVs to watch sports events, and an outside patio and bar area. They also serve food, which is not offered in other breweries in town.
